Posture Dynamics teams with US Army on rare double blind study of a new type of orthotics. A minimum of 200 soldiers who will randomly be selected to receive either Posture Control Insoles® or shams will be tested over a 4 week period, and monitored for 12 months to determine impact on foot and musculoskeletal pain and injuries.
"For years, the Army has been searching for a way to improve foot and body mechanics to reduce soldier injuries sustained during hard and demanding physical work-outs and long marches in Army boots." says Captain Rebecca Morrell. "We discovered and did some preliminary testing with the insoles manufactured by Posture Dynamics about 12 months ago. The preliminary results were very encouraging so we decided to follow up with a double blind study including a minimum of 200 soldiers." Captain Morrell, now based at Reynolds Army Medical Center at Fort Still, Oklahoma will test a number of soldiers there as well. "We are collecting both objective and subjective information through electronic measurements and soldier reporting."
